Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
TempoBoard ("we", "us", or "our") is a productivity workspace that helps
students and professionals organize tasks, coursework, and calendars.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your
information when you use our service at tempo-board.com.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
• Account information: name, email address, and profile picture (via Google OAuth).
• Task and course data: tasks, notes, labels, and organizational preferences you create within the app.
• Canvas LMS data: when you connect Canvas, we access your courses, assignments, and enrollment data using an API token you provide.
• Google Calendar data: when you connect Google Calendar, we read your calendar events to display them alongside your tasks.
We also collect limited technical data:
• IP addresses for rate limiting and security purposes.
• Browser type and device information for compatibility.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Provide and maintain the TempoBoard service.
• Sync your Canvas assignments and Google Calendar events.
• Store your tasks, notes, and preferences.
• Protect against abuse through rate limiting and security measures.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS)
enabled. Canvas API tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM
encryption. Authentication uses PKCE flow for enhanced security. All
connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit.
Task data, notes, and preferences are stored in your browser's
localStorage for offline access and performance.
Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
• Google (OAuth authentication, Calendar API) — governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Canvas LMS (Instructure) — your institution's Canvas instance, governed by Instructure's privacy terms.
• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Vercel — hosting and deployment.
We only access the minimum data necessary from each service.
Your Rights
You can:
• Disconnect Google Calendar or Canvas at any time from Settings.
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Export your task data from within the application.
• Request information about what data we hold about you.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify
users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the
top of this page.
